Together with our affiliated companies*, we provide equipment financing solutions to small businesses, middle-market and large corporations, offering product expertise in government financing and wholesale vendor financing, as well as tailored programs specific to industry segments, including aviation, healthcare, energy services and renewable energy.

Essential Functions:
Program Credit Officer ("PCO") - Evaluate and underwrite new and existing vendor program opportunities, including the identification and assessment of all strengths, weaknesses and risks (including operational) associated with the opportunity as well as identifying and describing mitigating factors. Responsible for credit administration and managing the risk of a portfolio of vendor programs, including the timely preparation of periodic program status reviews and annual program renewals. Also responsible for the evaluation, review and written analysis of all factors that affect an entity's ability to repay and/or service their obligations on time. The complexity of the entities and related transactions requiring analysis can vary over a wide spectrum. In addition, the entities requiring analysis can be at the vendor and/or end-user level.

The PCO uses their skill set to assess the appropriateness of existing solutions and to propose optimal financing alternatives or additional financing solutions. They are involved in managing credit quality and the approval process through their interaction with Risk Management, GVF Marketing Officers, Leasing and Bank Credit Managers, Leasing Administration and Legal. The individual's skill set, background and experience will determine the appropriate job assignment.

The PCO must be able to interact effectively in a team environment as well as work independently with minimal guidance and direction. The ability to efficiently multi-task, and be decisive are important keys to success.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor Degree - Accounting, Finance Economics, Math or other Business concentration preferred.

Preferred Prior Work Experience:
10+ years' experience within the finance/banking industry with significant credit underwriting experience; vendor finance credit analysis experience preferred

Preferred/Desired Skills:
  • Effective presentation, structuring, financial statement and risk analysis skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills (time management, multi-task, prioritize)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify trends and emerging risks in underwriting and client selection
  • Customer service focus
  • Proven problem solving abilities
  • Clear and articulate oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Mature and professional attitude
