Job Description Summary
Position Objective
This position will be responsible for providing sales leadership for Sunbelt's strategic approach to the Renewable Energy vertical which includes but is not limited to: Solar Energy, Wind Energy, and Hybrid Energy.
Primary responsibilities will include direct management of Strategic Customer Representatives (SCR's) responsible for Renewable Energy as well as devising strategy for growth and success within the servicing the verticals listed above.
This role is critical in building and maintaining customer relationships then working as a liaison between these customers and local local/onsite teams and appropriate levels of Sunbelt leadership.
Position Responsibilities:
§ Communicate Sunbelt's ongoing National opportunities with projects; work with local/district/regional teams to form a strategy for these projects.
§ Devise and manage Sunbelt's positioning/strategy within the Renewable Energy segment, including Direct Sales, Customer Agreements, Pricing/Contract Management, and assisting with Onsite Project Management.
§ Cultivate and nurture existing strategic customers in effort to gain a higher proportion of their entire spend and to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
§ Cultivate and manage a team of sellers for long term growth within space, including management of compensation plans, etc.
§ Increase profitable rental and sales volume within the identified Renewable Energy Segment.
§ Set direction and target account/project strategies for Renewable Energy Segment
§ Work closely and communicate clearly/consistently with district/regional leadership during bidding, negotiating, managing mission critical opportunities (including onsite opportunities)
§ Actively develop relationships with target customers within strategic segment to further drive market share within vertical.
§ Responsible for cross-leveraging and communicating potential and ongoing opportunities across other business segments and regions within Sunbelt through routine communication with Regional Sales Directors.
§ Communicate operation and sales progress by project routinely (minimum quarterly) to the local management team. Always looking for opportunity to create internal and external efficiencies.
§ Collaborate with all levels of Sunbelt leadership regarding overall performance, dispute management, strategy, etc.
§ Set Quarterly and Annual goals for Strategic Customer Reps/Managers.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements Education & Experience:
§ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering or related field or equivalent experience plus 5-10 years' experience selling in the equipment rental industry at the General Management and Executive levels (experience in the heavy industrial, manufacturing, facility maintenance fields).
§ Previous rental industry experiences a definite plus.
§ MBA is preferred but not required
§ Travel 40-60%
§ Demonstrated ability to sell at multiple levels of the customer's hierarchy
§ Experience working with large national accounts
§ Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills; comfortable in dealing with all levels of an organization.
§ Ability to manage and analyze RFP's
§ Project management experience
§ Ability to articulate and frame issues in a clear and concise manner.
§ Demonstrated ability to affect positive change and to deliver results in a complex organization.
§ Strong analytical capabilities necessary to assess the short- and long-term requirements and needs of the business.
§ Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring of a team of members who may or may not report to this position within the organization (i.e. matrix management).
§ Leading and developing a team of professionals
§ Professional level knowledge of principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing and sales, including experience developing business plans.
§ High energy, entrepreneurial-spirited self-starter.
§ Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills. Territory management practices must be exceptional.
§ Excellent presentation skills
Physical Demands:
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $85,592.65 - 144,849.10
