Local Unit & Position Description

DNV - Energy's Sustainable Energy Use is seeking a Project Administrator to join our Program Development and Implementation (PDI) team. PDI helps commercial and industrial utility customers save energy and money. The successful candidate will possess with strong interpersonal and organizational and will be responsible for application processing and general office functions. This position is based in our Okemos, Michigan office.

Tasks may Include:
  • Quick, accurate and timely data entry of project work and program documentation
  • Application Data entry, database management, database update and maintenance
  • Assist project managers with effective facilitation of team and client meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, tracking action items, and proactively following up on action items
  • Fielding and logging telephone calls from customers and contractors
  • Scanning, faxing, copying, uploading of documentation; maintaining paper and electronic files
  • Invoicing and budget management
  • General office duties, including greeting visitors, receiving packages, managing mail, office supplies and logistics
  • Preparing and mailing correspondence

Position Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Business or a related discipline and/or 3 years of professional experience in administrative services required
  • Must be able to prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), customer service and phone skills, organization, grammar, and spelling skills are essential
  • Ability to work well under pressure in time-critical situations and be productive and self-motivated during slow periods
  • Ability to take direction from multiple people and perform varied tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service attitude and team-oriented spirit
  • Strong knowledge in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Works according to detailed procedures but also demonstrates independent judgment and takes initiative in improving processes, quality control
  • Ability to bend, lift, and reach consistent with typical office work
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
