TÜV UK Ltd is an accredited inspection and certification body and also provides elite specialist nuclear consultancy services from expert Associates, some of whom have held the most senior positions in the UK Regulatory system, Government and the Nuclear industry.  We build strong collaborative relationships, spanning a wide range of niche expertise, and develop fit-for-purpose solutions across the nuclear and wider energy sector with focus on innovation and technological development.  We have reach back to significant nuclear and energy expert resource from our TÜV NORD GROUP partners in Germany.

  • We are expanding our specialist consultancy business. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who seeks to develop their career and get involved in innovative projects in the nuclear and wider energy sectors.
  • Senior Consultant with 5-10 years’ experience in the nuclear sector (essential) and wider energy sectors (desirable).
  • Supporting/leading bid writing and associated tasks to ensure TÜV UK is aligned and ready for emerging opportunities.
  • Providing robust project management and diverse technical consultancy to TÜV UK Management and Associates, applying technical knowledge from experience in areas such as operational power plants, licensing, new build, strategy, waste management, R&D and decommissioning. Also assisting with on-going initiatives and supporting technical tasks such as data analysis; technical underpinning; research, and technical report writing.
  • The role will develop and requires spontaneity and flexibility to ensure a holistic coverage of multiple tasks as they emerge, in both a project management, technical consultancy and a business development context. It will include attending management meetings to update on progress, opportunities and feedback wider requirements to enhance TÜV UK’s growing consultancy services.
  • Liaising effectively with clients to grow business opportunities.
  • Home-based, but flexible travel required to meet business needs.


  • Degree Qualified, Science.
  • Chartered member of appropriate institute / body | desirable.
  • Qualified Project Manager (APM or PRINCE2) | desirable.
  • Ability to achieve Security clearance to SC level
  • 5-10 years’ relevant experience working in nuclear consultancy and/or wider energy sector.
  • Able to work independently and pro-actively. Self-motivated and driven to achieve results for the business and career development.
  • Strong communicator with good personable skills, able to liaise with clients and develop client opportunities.
  • Experience of co-ordinating and leading the submission of major bid applications.
  • Proficiency in technical report writing.
  • Strong organisational and self-management skills.
