Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

- Emergency Department setting with a higher volume of behavioral health patients
- Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active KS or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Required certifications (all AHA): BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
- CPI/MOAB High-Risk training: online portion must be completed prior to start; on-site portion completed during orientation
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Full SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Implements and monitors patient care plans, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate
- Serves as a primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders
- Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
- Ceil blue scrubs required
- Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate based on proximity to the facility
